My previous article raised 5 viewpoints and I have received some "interesting" feedbacks. Well the situation did not allow all my theories to be validated in the last match (Manfred and JC were both absent) but at least 1 was proven!
As I have mentioned, our youth players are highly-talented and they did not disappointed on Saturday. Khalid and Derrick came on late in the game and not only provided us with the much needed dynamism but even won us the game! Both had 1 shot on goal and Khalid scored the all important 3rd goal to win us the game! This is the right way we blood our youngster just like how Theo Walcott was slowly brought to the 1st team! Kudos to Khalid and Derrick. You are our future!
Nonetheless it is never easy to handle youngsters nowadays. On one hand we are fortunate to have the likes of Khalid and Derrick; we also have our prima donna full-time model part-time footballer to deal with. No name shall be mentioned here [raise eye brow] but we would like to stress the importance of keeping your feet on the ground. Otherwise, no matter how much talent you possess, you risk of becoming the next Jermaine Pennant or David Bentley or (and the list goes on and on).
The usually talkative '5 was expressing his disappointment at the post match interview: "Today was a great chance for all our youngsters to have a go... But... He mentioned he would be coming... It (his absence) was like AWOL... Hope he learnt from this." Nonetheless, '5 was still full of praise for the youngster and insisted that there would not be any hard feelings between the pair when they meet again by joking: "don't worry, I am no Gallas and he is not Nasri!".
